Today, I logged in on Neobux and was assuming that they'd do another prank for this year's April Fools Day. And guess what, they did!

But unlike the previous years of 2009 and 2010, this was very much simplier. More of like an impromptu prank.

They used Roman Numerals to indicate how many ads are available for viewing and how much your earnings are.

But notice that why you hover on your earnings, it turns back to numbers. After all, it's hard to convert cents to numerals. Thanks for making that atleast easier neobux!

Anyways, I wish you a Happy April Fools Day! Don't get pranked!

Today, I withdrew my 12th payment from neobux which amounted $20.36, received $19.96 ($0.40 deducted for withdrawal fee) straight to my paypal account.

Yes, this amount is smaller compared to the previous withdrawal I made from neobux. I wasn't supposed to withdraw until it reaches $50+ but I had to buy something online and needed the extra funds. So this really came in handy.

Last week, I received an update from one of my former favorite ptc site, Bux.gs. Apparently, I got fed up from this site because I thought it went scam too.

Today, I am re-adding this to my list of everyday clickables.

I earned a decent amount from this site including the $20+ that I haven't posted here.
See my Bux.gs Payment Proofs here.

The one thing I noticed is that there are a lot of advertisements to click once clicked, it doesn't refresh on a daily basis. I hope they fix this soon.

I clicked all of the ads and noticed that I already reached $1 amount of earnings.

This morning, I got an unexpected payment from Bukisa, which amounted to $4.32.

Not sure what the payment is for though. I'm thinking it's for my affiliate referring efforts to the site.

Still, it's still a small blessing so I just accepted it.

Today, neobux introduces its long awaited Micro Exposure Advertisements.

I was delighted when I saw 4 additional advertisements.

Neobux Micro Ads

Each advertisement credited me with $0.001

Pretty sweet right?

In simple terms, this is beneficial for advertisers in the following ways:

  • Lower cost for advertisers
  • Minimum 5 second exposure time (after the site fully loads, as always)
  • Users are credited $0.001 per advertisement
  • Will only show the title and not the description

I requested $3.31 and received $3.17 ($0.13 for cashout fees) on my paypal account.

I only have 11 direct referrals so far so I guess it's a pretty decent earning rate considering only 3-5 of my referrals here are active.

That's it for now.

Link Exchange Anyone?

Recently, I finished re-working this blog. One of the main things I managed to fix are my Link Exchange pages. Removed all the clutter (non-linking blogs) on this site.

I want to rebuild a great list of active bloggers who value the community of this wonderful medium; the blogosphere.

So if you want to be listed on my list, feel free to contact me. Just remember to follow my guidelines as this will be a daily updated list.

This is my official entry to sulit.com.ph's Share Your Sulit.com.ph Experience

I've been exposed into online business for over 5 years now. It was only around 2 years ago that really made me use it a lot. We had 2 old bmx bicycle bodies na nakatambak lang sa garahe namin. We really don't know what to do with it kaya nandun lang siya. Until medyo kinailangan namin ng money so we put up a garage sale. Sales we're doing great and we had no problem. It was until my mom really wanted to sell it. She then thought of the idea of posting it online so she said, "I-post mo sa sulit!" Sabi ko, "Mommy, kahit i-post ko yan online, walang bibili niyan! Scrap metal na yan! Magbabakal lang ang bibili niyan." But she insisted and said, "Basta i-post mo!" So I had to obey.. Pero natatawa talaga ako. Just to please her, I posted it anyway. To my surprise, minutes after posting the ad eh may nag-inquire agad! So I gave the contact details to my mom. Nagkasundo sila sa price and kukunin na daw niya kinabukasan. Hanggang dumating na nga.. I was literally shocked when I saw the money being handed down. Binili ng manong yung 2 bicycle bodies for P500.00 each! Yung dapat na ibebenta lang namin sa magbabakal na barya e naging P1,000.00 pa! Of course napahiya ako dahil noong una pinagtatawanan ko pa. Pero that inspired me a lot.

Yung akala ko na basura, mapapakinabangan pa pala ng iba.

Since then sulit has been my main choice if I wanted to sell something online and dispose of it really fast. Starting with the things I don't need anymore hanggang real estate properties. At kahit maraming ibang pwedeng pag-postan ng ads online, sulit pa rin ang the best sa 'kin!

I hope you guys enjoyed reading my sulit experience!

This is my official entry for Sulit.com.ph's Banner Making Contest to Win an Apple iMac (and Other Cool Gadgets).

Adobe Photoshop

For this tutorial, I will be using Adobe Photoshop mainly because it is one of the most used software for creating/editing web banners. So assuming that you have this program installed, you can follow along with me. You can also use other Adobe Programs, Corel Products, or even Paint.

We'll be creating a simple web full banner (468x60) using Sulit.com.ph as an example.

Sulit Full Banner

Sulit.com.ph is the leading buy and sell website in the Philippines. Post advertisements or find great deals at Sulit.com.ph.

Celebrate Sulit.com.ph 4th Anniversary! Join the Sulit Banner Making Contest for July and get a chance to win cool gadgets from Sulit.com.ph, Blackberryzuela.com, and GadgetGrocery. com!

Making a web banner is fun and easy. Just let your creative juice flowing and everything else will follow.

"No great thing is created suddenly."

Just take your time planning and creating it. Remember to always practice!

Now let's get started with gathering what you need!

  • Logo
  • Tagline
  • People

Logo - You're banner needs to have a recognizable and distinctive graphic mark or emblem. Must be atleast Web 2.0 compliant. This will aim to promote instant public recognition.

Tagline - You need to have a marketing/branding term; a few words – a phrase or sentence – associated with your brand name (either company or product/service name or even your blog name). A tagline should be brief, evocative and should imply what you do and/or what you stand for.

People - Lastly you'll need people for brainstorming. This can be officemates or simply friends. Ask for opinions on whether your design suits their liking.

All set? Let's begin!

(click on the images below to open in a new tab and view them larger)

Banner Tutorial 1

A great start is to create your banner's background. You can use simple colors such as white or black. I used a gradient (color green to black; matching sulit.com.ph's green theme).

Banner Tutorial 2

Next, key in your tagline. Make this visible as this will be your main invitation to users.

Banner Tutorial 3

Add a simple description to give users a little information on what your ad is about. Make it short and straight to the point.

Banner Tutorial 4

Optional: Add a button encouraging users to go sign up/visit your website for further information.

Banner Tutorial 5

And of course, what would a banner be without a logo!

Now that your banner is complete, you can now save and upload it for the web.

Congratulations, you have created your banner!

Bottomline: When creating an effective banner, you have to remember to always be concise with the content and don't put too much heavy graphics. Don't use misleading texts or graphics as this will lead to major disappointment on the user part. This will likely give your website a high bounce rate. After all, it's not always about the design. It's being transparent. What you want is quality click-throughs converting them to customers.

If this article has helped you in any way, feel free to link to it.

Also, please help me spread my banner in order for me to win on Sulit.com.ph's Banner Making Contest. Just write a short article discussing this post (anything you want to say!) and grab my provided banner below. By doing so, you become a VIRAL POSTER and you yourself could also win a Blackberry Curve 8520!

Today I successfully loaded credits to my mobile phone using netload central.

Netload Central

Last June 4, 2010 I bought a P100 Smart Call Card that is priced at $2.72 from Netload Central using my paypal account.

Since it is my first time purchasing from them, I am required to email them a screenshot of my transaction details. (You only have to do this for your first time.)

Voila! Today they sent me my e-pin via email. I loaded it just like I bought a call card from a store. (1510 + 14 digit pin then press send)

My take on this:

This is ideal if you want to load credits at the comfort of your own home or basically anywhere in the world you might be. It would be the same even if you buy the card from a store. Call Card cost + Transportation Fare + Effort on buying is almost the same equivalent. Unless ofcourse you'll just buy it from across the street or you're simply feeling diligent and want the extra exercise to go out and buy.

The reason why netload central took 3 days before sending me the e-pin is because they said that they've just recovered from technical problems with their servers which also affected their verification system. But if there weren't any problems, sending it would just be 10-15 minutes after purchase since I have a verified paypal user. (non-verified users will take around 48 hours before receiving the e-pin on their email)

My tip for users who want to buy efficiently here is that before your credits expire or run out, make sure you buy additional credits like 2-3 days or atleast a day before to avoid any delay.

Overall, buying credits online was a great experience! Definitely this site is not a scam. I am looking forward on buying bigger denominations next time.

Have you bought e-credits from this website too?
